Hooray for our first complete week!!

WOW! We did so much!  We started our reading, writing and religion curriculums, got the chance to go to all of our specials, and in addition......started the math chapter on addition :)

All this, not to mention APPLES!!!!!  We have learned so much about the parts of the apple, how apples grow, and what they need to grow (did you know they need bees? we do!)  We learned all about Johnny Appleseed.  We know facts such as- he was born John Chapman, he traded trees for clothes and food, he believed animals deserved respect, he lived in the woods and that people often tell tall tales about him.  We tasted apples, made applesauce and went apple picking!  What an awesome first full week.

I want to thank everyone who came with us on our trip today - I couldn't have done it without you!  I also want to say a special thank you to Mrs. Dennehy who was a great help  not only today, but Wednesday afternoon when we taste tested as well!

I hope everyone enjoys the pictures I posted.  Anytime I take pictures, I do my best to try to get everyone in them.  I know you - as a parent- want to see your child "in action."  I understand this and will do my best.

I hope your child had a good week and that you all enjoy the weekend.
Hopefully I will see you at the carnival :)

PS- I never send homework folders on Fridays :)
