Dear Parents,

GO USA!  Once again, the Winter Olympics are upon us!  In an effort to celebrate the Olympic games, while also learning about current events, we have a project upon us.  Attached you will find a current events report.  Students are expected to read one article about the Olympic Games.  The article can be from any newspaper or magazine and can be read with the help of an adult.  Students should read the article, complete the report form and attach the article to the report.  My expectation is that students will choose one sport/or topic of interest from the games and read about it from a source other than a book.  It is important for students to know that information- such as current events- can be obtained from sources such as newspapers and magazines.  The project is due Monday, February 26, 2018.

Thank You,

Mrs. Potter
Good Afternoon!

We had a great day today!  We worked on geometric shapes in math and we discussed edges, faces and vertices.  We continue to read "Out and About in City Hall" in reading and we reviewed the vocabulary words.  In science we continued to work on our whale reports.  In grammar we are doing word work- working on antonyms.
